Polish Tattoo Museum at Tattoo Collection
Polish Tattoo Museum – the museum of its kind in the whole of Central Eastern Europe, will be represented at the Convention “Tattoo Collection 2018!”
It was created in 2012 on the initiative of Petr Wojciechowski, a graduate of the Art Institute in Cieszyn, the editor-in-chief of the magazine Tatuaż – Ciało i Sztuka, the owner of the famous tattoo studio D3XS Tattoo Orchestra, a tattoo artist and collector.
The main goal of the Polish Tattoo Museum is to popularize the history, beauty and diversity of the phenomenon of tattooing. The collection of the museum presents original tribal instruments for tattooing from different parts of the world; collection of electric razors from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day; a collection of tattoo books of the XVIII century; a collection of Japanese ukiyo-e engravings on a tree from the 19th century; a collection of flash-sets sketches for tattoos from different corners of the world of the XIX century; numerous lithographs, photographs and postcards from previous centuries, and much more. In short, everything related to a tattoo and its rich history.
At the Convention “Tattoo Collection 2018” will be presented an exposition on the Burma hand poke tattoo (Burman Tattoo Exhibition). The founder of the museum, Pyotr Wojciechowski, will work in this technique on May 19, on Saturday (Burman hand method tattoo performance).
